It's rather quiet here tonight as my first born (and chattiest as of yet) is at Vacation Bible School. My one year old is rather bored with mommy and we've only been home for a little over thirty minutes! As I dropped Camryn off I thought nice it would be to hit the spa....and then I snapped back to reality- who wants to hang out at a spa with my other chatty Cassidy? Instead, I am hanging out at home, relishing in the love of my little stinker and devising a way to watch my friends kid this week so she can have some MOMMY time..I mean, that's what friends are for, right?

I've started a new devotional this month and boy am I thankful...thankful to see other moms who have felt the same way I have...thankful to know others have wanted to pull their hair out...thankful to know other moms have felt like they are in constant competition because someone's kid is always better ...thankful to be reminded that these GIFTS are from the Lord and we are to SERVE them although HE does not intend for us to do this on our own...I could go on an on and on....

Jen Hatmaker, the author, is a friend of mine from OBU. She's brutually honest and amazingly funny. You will enjoy her style and will fall in love with her teachings! You will relate to her hilarious children and will learn how to be a better "mama"...This is a MUST READ and would make a great baby shower gift...

Val inspired me to run the OKC 1/2 marathon a couple of weeks ago. What an amazing experience to join the other 23,000 runners! Jamie and I completed the full 13.1 miles and finished about 6 minutes faster than we originally predicted. Next year, we plan to run the full marathon! Thanks Val for the push...thanks Jamie for the long weekend runs...thanks to the many volunteers for an amazing race!

Today while Camryn was at preschool, Jeff turned on Sesame Street for Cassidy. She has never really shown much interest in tv. (Camryn didn't watch tv until I was on maternity leave so I figured Cass wouldn't be interested either). However, today she was VERY intrigued in Oscar...she may have the t.v. gene from her daddy after all!

Sorry it's been so long since we've updated the blog. Life has been so busy at our house. School has started and Camryn is going three days a week to the Lighthouse Preschool. She is learning so much and we feel blessed beyond belief for her great health and abilities. She has also started tap and ballet. She absolutely loves both!

Cassidy is a little spit fire. It's so hard to believe she will be 1 soon! She is walking all over the house and is really vocal. She loves to play with her sister and laughs out loud all the time. She's a super happy girl and is really loving life right now.

School is back in session and is going oh so.... I am missing my babies...Just a few pics as I don't want to waste any time on the computer while they are awake! Cassidy is busy busy pulling up on everything. She often lets go and sees how long she can stand on her own. I am sure it won't be long and she'll be walking. Camryn is just as busy as ever. She starts school next Tuesday and will attend two days a week. She is sooooo excited! She will also be starting tap and ballet. So much fun to watch them grow and learn...Have a super week!

Today was date time for mommy and Camryn. Cassidy was ready for a nap so we took advantage of one on one time...(especially since I was cheated out of time with my girls yesterday due to my radioactive state!)

First we headed to get pedicures. Camryn is a bridesmaid in our cousin Heather's wedding so she was pampered today. She had her first mani and pedi! Once that fun was over, we headed to Incredible Pizza. What a great day!

Have I ever told you how much I love my family? My mom's birthday is this coming Friday...happy birthday Bams! Jeff has a wonderful family too~! I posted a picture from a trip we took a trip over Spring Break. The place is called Tatanka Ranch, (just outside of Stroud, OK). It was so much fun my dad's entire family- 27 wonderful adults and kids- will be joining there for our first ever Farrar familly reunion! I can hardly wait!

Cassidy is now on the move...she started army crawling this week and has progressed to moving at a face pace. She loves to get up on all fours and rock back and forth. I am sure it won't be long before my house is no longer safe!

Yesterday I packed the up the girls and headed to OKC for a HOT day at the zoo with Val and her crew. We had a GREAT time! Although we probably lost a few pounds in sweat, it was well worth it.
A few tips if you are planning on visiting...I gave blood at OBI last week and earned two FREE passes for admission...Camryn and I went to the sea lion show and it only cost $2...Two different vending machines rejected my money when trying to buy a bottle of water...good thing b/c the concession stand gives ice water for FREE!! So, three hours of zoo time and money to spare. Can't wait to see them again!

Camryn went to VBS this past week with little Harry. She had such a GREAT time! During the church service today the kids performed all the songs they sang during the week. They did so good and were so stinkin cute!
Although it's a little hard to see, Camryn is right in the middle. She started out in the front row when her teachers lined her up for practice. However, she really wanted to stand by "Sabannah." As you can tell, she found a way to get up to "Sabannah"...(Savannah- my flower girl!) Enjoy the video! **Thanks Jamie for inviting us to be a part of your church family this week! **

Ball is in full swing at our house! Camryn is playing for the first time and boy is it FUN! Daddy is helping coach and mommy is busy being the number one cheerleader and shirt organizer! We are loving being parents to a little athlete- I see so much fun in our future!

Last week Camryn started tball with the Y. Her little team is made up of three and four year olds. They named themselves the SHARKS and they are all so cute! Our first game is next Monday..

In addition to tball, this morning Camryn went to the Enid Baseball Camp. The camp is held at the ballpark where I run the concessions and has been around for at least 50 consecutive years. This year there are about 150 little ones. They are so stinkin cute running around in their matching camp shirts and ball caps...Cam is only ONE of two girls! She had a blast learning to slide and run the bases....Pics to come later this week!

Ok..so I've been lacking on my posts..I can't seem to get to the site to update..I mean, I barely find time to change my underwear anymore..Haha! I don't know how mom's of more than two manage, especially if they have a job outside of the house! Heck, I don't know how stay at home mom's do it either!

This post is for Val- my roomie from college and Major and Avery's momma. Little Major turned two a few weeks ago and Little Avery will be 1 soon...Val is a stay at home mom...What an amazing thing to watch as one of my very best friends pours herself into her kids!

Val, I love you and the mommy you have become! I am so thankful for the health of your two precious ones!

A few new firsts..

Over Spring Break we went to a ranch in Oklahoma with Jeff's parents..Camryn had a few new firsts! She caught her first fish, she rode her first horse and she went for her first ride on an ATV. She loved every minute of every adventure!

Cassidy has experienced some new firsts too. She has eaten her first real food (sweet potatoes), she sat up all on her own (two weeks ago) and she went on her first vacation. We are awaiting the snow- she may get to make her first snow angel this weekend!

It's hard to believe three years ago on this very night I was being loaded into an

ambulance and was off to Oklahoma City. What a way to start Spring Break 2006!

Just a couple of pics...I am tired and need to go to bed but realize I haven't posted in quite a while! Camryn is totally potty trained and is back to going to school at our church every Friday. Cassidy is 4 months old and is quite a chunk. Camryn is now repeating after her mommy and is calling her baby chunk chunks...Poor Cassidy! If she only knew how much her mommy worries about overweight children...She has really started moving lately so hopefully her legs will be bikini ready by early summer.

Not too much new going on here...Camryn is almost all the way potty trained- she only has an accident every once in a while! She is still in nightime diapers but I assume one day night time will just "click."

What a fun few days we've had...Ending my maternity leave makes me really sad but we've been able to really take advantage of special times...I have to go back to work on Jan. 2nd. Jeff will take over mommy duties in the morning and then our favorite Miss Patty will be back to love on the girls! Camryn can hardly wait and Cassidy will soon find out how lucky we are!!!

We hope each of you and your families have a WONDERFUL Christmas! We are so thankful for our many blessings and celebrate the best gift of all- Jesus Christ.

Who would have thought going to the potty could be so exciting? Well, at our house we clap, we cheer and we get so excited when we have potty success! Camryn has consistently been going to the potty and staying dry all day for about a week now. She does have an occasional accident and bedtime is not successful yet..but, we will get there!

Ok...I give in...I was challenged by one of my college friends, Becki, to play along with her in the game of five favorites...so, here we go!

My FIVE favorites...

1. Bedtime with Camryn- I love bedtime with my precious one. Jeff and I take Camryn to bed together every night. We pancake her in the middle and lay with her while she says her prayers. It's amazing to hear the things she prays about at only two years of age. We are so thankful for our little miracle! Most nights I don't leave the room with a dry eye.

1 1/2. Snuggle time with Cassidy- She is really alert now and is smiling and cooing all the time. I am amazed how you can love a second child just as much as you do the first!

2. Boomer Sooner- I love "date night" during OU football season with my favorite fanatic, Jeff! We love it all- driving to Norman, reading the Daily Oklahoman sports section (out loud in the car), eating at fun new restaurants, seeing friends and listening to the post game show on the Sports Animal..We have been going to the games since 2000- what a fun tradition we have going!

3. Family and Friends- I am blessed with an amazing family, great in-laws and fun fun friends! I truly enjoy every minute I spend with each and everyone of them!

4. Diet Dr. Pepper and Chocolate Chip Cookies....enough said!

5. Summer time!!! I love love love hanging out in the pool. We spend lots of time playing outside with our friends Jamie, Harry and grandma Kathy. This summer we will add Cassidy and Hadley Kate to the outdoor fun!

How old is he? 35- but he will be 36 two days after Christmas!

Who is taller? By about a foot, he wins this one..

Who can sing best? He would definetly say he does...he makes fun of me when I sing!

Who does the laundry? We both do..he's a GREAT help around the house- I am lucky.

Who pays the bills? Unfortunately I do and I dread it every month

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? When you are looking at the bed, he's on the right.

Who mows the lawn? Jeff does...he is very particular and he does a wonderful job!

Who cooks the meals? Most of the time I do.. He cooks a lot during the summer out on the grill.

Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Hmm...probably a tie

Who kissed who first? He did- but he will tell you I did..

Who wears the pants? We share them...he wears them on the big things..I wear them on the day to day small things..

I don't have very many friends who blog...so, my challenge to complete the five favorites and who's who goes to Val and Robyn...

What a busy few days we've had...over the weekend we saw Val, Major, Avery and Krici for lunch. The next day we cheered on the Sooners to their big victory. We spent some time with Summer, Wendi and Todd and finished up our time in OKC with Nana and Papa. Of course we played with Bams (Grams) and Aunt BB every day we were there!

We also had Arts and Crafts day with Harry and Hadley. We spent the day making Thanksgiving decorations, Christmas ornaments and Christmas cookies. We finished our day off with a trip to McDonald's for lunch and playground time! Hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving!

I took Cassidy to the doctor today and she weighed in at a whopping 9 lbs. 12 oz! Glad to know we finally got her off the starvation diet I started her on! The doctor was very pleased with her progress and assured me a chunky cheeked baby was a good thing- Camryn was over six months by the time she finally made the height/weight chart so this is all new territory for us!

Thanks to our friend Cindy Donaldson, Cassidy now has her own special hat and blanket. Although it's not really cold yet, we - Camryn too- had to try them out! We hope everyone has a really great week! Check back again soon..we have a play date with Val, Major and Baby Avery Avery Baby (as Camryn likes to call her)...Aunt BB will be flying in on Thursday too so we should have lots of pictures to post.

So I am sitting in the living room feeding Cassidy- Camryn was in her room taking a nap, or so I thought! All of a sudden I hear this voice singing, "I poo pooed in the pottyyyy- yeah!" As I walked down the hall I was thinking- ok, what am I going to find?

Since we started working on potty training I added a potty chair to Camryn's room. She's one of those kids who won't take time to go to the bathroom because she is too busy! Having a chair in her room has come in handy- and it did again today. When I got to her room I saw she had taken off her socks, her jeans and she had thrown her diaper down the hall. She had sat herself on her potty and pooped! When I realized what she had done and told her how proud I was she immediately told me she needed an M&M. Now, I am not one to reward a behavior with a bribe but this is one momma who does not want two in diapers for ever! I proudly gave her two of the mini sized m&m's. Here's hoping for continued success from my little turkey.

Here's our first attempt at sharing a video of Camryn...you may not be able to understand her but she is singing C- A- M-- R- Y- N, Camryn, Camryn, Camryn. This is a silly little song we made up when she was a baby. We sang it to her to teach her about her name.
Jeff thinks she looks like Laura Ingels Wilder in her nightgown. She loves to wear it because it matches her baby dolls jammies. Please ignore her crazy hair, I promise we fix it in the morning before we go anywhere!

Birth of a new site...

Along with the birth of our precious little one, we have decided to make a new effort for a family blog. Right now life is crazy busy but we wouldn't change a single thing!

Camryn is in the midst of potty training and loves to tell you she is "hiding" when she needs to poop. She is in gymnastics two times a week and is learning how to listen and sit still at the same time. Most often the two don't go hand in hand..Here's hoping one day she will figure it out! Until then I will be the proud momma peering in with embarrassment as my kid runs wild.

Cassidy has to be one of the best babies EVER! She only cries when she is hungry or dirty. She is working on her smile and seems to be more alert every day. We go to the doctor for her one month check up in a week and a half. It will be exciting to see how much she weighs. One of the pictures posted is of her and her best friend, Hadley Kate. Hadley is three weeks older than Cassidy and is the little sister to Camryn's best buddy, Harry Hromas.

October 15th is the big day...Cassidy should arrive around 7:00 AM! Let the countdown begin!

SHE IS HERE!!! Cassidy was born at 7:27 AM on October 15th! She is 7 lbs. 8 oz. and 19 1/2 inches long! She has dark brown hair and blue eyes...and the chubbiest cheeks EVER! What a blessing to have a full term baby girl!
